Looking for a Linux definition web site (like Webopedia.com)

I'm a Linux newbie looking for a web site similiar to Webopedia.com that has Linux definitions.

I'm a certified professional for the evil empire (Microsoft) doing research for a new system I'm building. I have ton of annoying questions to find answers to (e.g., can multiple versions of Linux run on the same computer with WinXP and Server 2003?) but I don't want to bore the hell out of anyone on here with questions that have been asked a zillion times. I just need someone to tell me where the best, concise, up-to-date white paper on Linux and associated software is, I'll take it from there.

I keep hearing that a Linux system can be built cheaply and that software is free or low cost. What's "cheap" and what's "free" these days? I'm not sure if this is fact or hype, but I'm going to see and prove it for myself.

You might try the Linux Documentation Project - it sounds like they might be able to answer a lot of the questions you have.

Failing that, we're always ready to help! :)

http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/ also has lots of answers, as does http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/answers.php
