Thanks for the help - I'll work my way through the USB guide tonight and let you know how it ends up.

rmartine,

I have the blue wheel mouse. I've tried just about every possible conbination in mouseconfig with no luck. Some work but still no scroll.

Excellent!

I'm very pleased to report you hit the nail on the head! I loaded the USB support modules then reconfigured XF86Config and it works like a charm now!

All I have left to do is modify rc.modules to load the modules on boot and fstab to mount the usb devices!

Thanks for all your help! I'm off to tackle my sound card next!

have you checked to see if the mouse is listed as IMPS/2 and not just PS/2. i had to add that for mine to work but it is not usb. if this is a stupid responce then please ignore.
