Angry Logitech quick chat with skype

Ive installed ubuntu feisty fawn and when I configure skype video, the webcam is recognized but the test screen is always pitch black. I remember right after having installed ubuntu, that was the 1st thing I tried and it was surprisingly working. Second time around it was no longer. How may I overcome this big little problem?

cheers,

Renato

I have the black screen problem in KDE in Slackware 12. I have the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000. I'm trying to use MSN Messenger in Kopete with it. Haven't tried it with Yahoo(since that requires Jasper, didn't feel like installing that).

If you get it working, let me know.
