Logitech mouse - scroll button

Does anyone know how i can set the scroll wheel for this mouse to work in slackware? i have already got usbcore, usbmouse, devmouse, and other dependency modules loaded, but i dont' seem to be able to find a way to configure the mouse in slackware (no mouseconf tool, etc) anyone know how?

Try this in your mouse settings in your x config file XF86Config or XF86Config-4 file.

Section "InputDevice"
	Identifier  "Mouse0"
	Driver      "mouse"
	Option      "Device" "/dev/mouse"
	Option      "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
	Option      "Emulate3Buttons" "off"
	Option      "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
You may have one or more of these X configuring tools:
XFree86 -configure
