logitech mouse problem

Can anyone tell me of a linux distro in which i can use my usb logitech ifeel mouse? ive used mandrake 8.0 and i doesnt work and have heard that mandrake 8.2 cant use it either. i really only need it to work as a general usb mouse... i dont need the ifeel part. also i especially need my mouse to work on the install. you cannot install mandrake without a mouse.

I may be mistaken, but Red Hat 7.0 and above should allow you to install using a USB mouse, though you may have to issue extra commands to the kernel instead of doing a normal boot into installation (though that possibility is remote). Also, make sure support is enabled in your BIOS to use a USB mouse/keyboard. Some systems need you to specify that the input devices you are using are USB so they can be used in a non-Windows situation.

I have a Logitech serial wireless mouse myself on MDK 8.2 but I remember the installation asking if it was USB, so it should work...

I use USB iFeel mices, they are the best, and work perfectly. You need USB and HID support in the kernel for it. I am sure yuo can choose a kernel to use for instalation before you start the install, just choose a USB enabled kernel. If you cant choose a kernel, well then, GET SLACK!
