Logitech Dual-Action gamepad - ignored

Ok.. here's the problem..

Linux see's the gamepad via "lsusb" and labels it correctly..

Games under wine can see the Gamepad

But thats about it, none of the buttons or movement pads work..

have tried creating a symbolic links from /dev/input/js0 to /dev/js0

made no difference..

Any idea's how i can solve this? hate to go back to windows for gaming over such a small issue..
