Login screen
 

My login screen has changed from the redhat one to one saying:

"Welcome to Linux at linux"

This is basically a login box, with a clock in one corner.

The option to change the login screen has also been removed from the gnome system settings.

Please can anyone tell me in newbie terms how to get it back to the default redhat one.

Please note 1 am using redhat 9 and gnome

hi your problem is that the system is using XDM instead of GDM.
Look on the forums how to do it for your particular distro.

P.S. does it automatically go into graphical mode when you start linux?
