Login Problems?
Ok i had installed SuSe 9.0 pro after a little while or days i could not log in as either Root or "alternate" user .. couldent figure out why so i reinstalled it 5 times to be exact, finally i called Linux Tech cause no one seemed to of had this problem on the whole web, when i click "alternate user" screen flickers drops back to user login screen over and over and over as i cant use root cause it is a security risk i reinstalled over and over..
found out solution is .. drop to terminal whatever way you can , i used CTRl+ALT+F7 then delete 3 files .KDE + .KDE2 + .xinirc here is what i typed.. eric@blah>rm -rf .kde eric@blah>rm -rf .kde2 eric@blah>rm .xinirc that should do it now restart try and login again if that dont work then I dont know.. |
virtualhate; at least u may be able to enter text mode, but i made larger error! forgot rt psswd , uh ho now (2) choices uninstall os or try alternative
