login path
Hi,
How do u make a dir the default path when you start up? Thanks Jack |
You mean putting a user at say, /var/log instead of home when they login?
|
Actually meaning should be /home/Someone/Projects/.
So each time you start linux after login, you go to that dir without typing a longish cd. thanks Jack |
I believe putting a "cd Projects" or "cd /home/Someone/Projects" in .bashrc and/or .bash_profile would do it (gurus correct me if I'm wrong). These are files that are checked whenever someone logs in to the computer; it should issue the command unless there's something I'm forgetting.
