Login GUI ??
 

Hi,

I'm kinda a linux newbie.
I installed SuSe 9.3 Pro on my Dell laptop with a ATI 9000 GPU.
Everything worked very well... until i changed the display settings to:
Enable 3D support.

Now i get a grey login screen (it looks like a GUI and is not a terminal
window, so xwindows is started?!?) and after i login, Gnome starts.
I used to have a very nice (green) login screen... (with lots of collors)
and i want it back!
I disabled the 3D support... but still no 'old' login screen.
Also now i always get a Xconsole box when i use Gnome.

Please help..

try configuring the login with yast. Your previous login manager might be gdm or kdm.

Thanks.. i used Yast to check the Window Manager... it got set to some strange other tool.. changed it back to GDM.... now it works again !
