LOG FILE missing after hardening my linux machine

Hi I'm new to Linux. I have applied a hardening rule on my Linux machine. After that I try to run an application. It says "Error. Log file missing". Prior to the hardening, the log file was there. But after hardening, the log file isn't getting created.

What might be the possible reason for this??

...additionally if you're running SELinux check if the audit and restorecon services are running ('pgrep auditd; pgrep restorecond') (and maybe 'setroubleshootd' if you're not running a server) then check /var/log/audit/audit.log or else /var/log/messages or equivalent for any related AVC messages.
