Lock Files


I am using Ubuntu 8.10. I have tried to use

Code:
sudo chown -R deadlysniper:deadlysniper /media/disk
It gives me an access error and I need to be able to read, write, and access all the files and folders.

could you give the exact error?
what are you mounting?
