lock button cant work yet !

i already set screensaver for my Gnome desktop but when i clicked the lock button it refuse to lock the sreen, any ideas ??? :confused:

Are you logged in as root? You can't lock as root.

yes i had only root user with my redhat, why the lock cant work for root plz ? :confused:

It has to do something with the security... you shouldn't really be logged in as root all the time anyway, I guess this is something to keep you from doing that...
