Location of Sed Scripts

Dear moderator,
please move this thread to the General Forum
Thank you

Is there a standard location in the Linux FSH
for placemetn of sed scripts?

I'm migrating code from Windoz/MinGW to Linx and want
to follow accepted standards as much as possible.
In the MinGW environment I have them in /usr/local/bin
which appears to be a voilation of FHS...

Thanks

Just realized this belongs in the General forum.
Is it possible to move a thread?

you need to ask moderators to move the thread.

There is no general standards for that I think, users may use their home, or ~/bin for example.

As above, it depends on who needs access.... like any program.

For one user, create bin dir in their home dir and add to their path.
For a group either as above and add everyone to a common group, or put in a dedicated dir eg /opt/this_app and add to group
For anyone, possibly /usr/local/bin and add to group
