Why do you think that you should do anything about it?

I do not intend that to sound flippant, but what are you expecting to see when you connect to localhost:8000?

ahhh... I guess I should expound:

I am following a tutorial to build a ruby/rails app - basically, as I understand it, the localhost should be looping back to display the app I am creating. . . but it does not, maybe I should check another forum more specific to the issue.

I thought this forum might offer some assistance.

Thanks for your reply.....

I think you might need to expound a little more. A link to whatever tutorial you are using, what server software and what you have done to set it up and where you are stuck might give members with knowledge a place to start.
