Hi,
You have to disable the ACPI in Bios. This can be found under Power Management section in bios settings. Disable it and try installing fedora.

a development

i tried installing it with linux noprobe and i get a message... no devices found, please select manually...
i do so only to be told that there are no device drivers for the hard drive...and a list of about 50 device drivers...
anyways i select one of them... and the installation starts.. with the appearance of the FEDORA CORE 4 screen and language selection et al
however... when it comes to partioning by disc drives..either manually or automatically.. the msg ... 'No drives.. An error has occured. No valid devices were found on which to create a new file system. Please check your hardware'
what do i do now

Hi Aswin.. Thanx for the reply.. it helped..
but windows does not boot normally after that..
besides.. when installation commences.. by the time i reach the disk partioning area.. it gets stuck.. telling me my hard drive is not found.
THANX anyways
