Loading FONTS

How do I add new fonts that will be accessible to all users on my machine?

I'm running CentOS 6.4.

I know there is the user's ~/.fonts directory, but I want ALL users to have access to fonts I load.

Example : # cp name.ttf /usr/share/fonts/ttf/

... Then the new fonts can be used immediately in e.g.
LibreOffice, OpenOffice, firefox : Start / restart the applications.

That is it... copy all your fonts to /usr/share/fonts/ or /usr/share/fonts/ttf/ (as shown in above post) and you are all set.
