LiveCDs

Hello,

I'm searching for a liveCD to use mainly for emergency rescue. My Machine doesnt have an Internal CD Drive so I use an External USB2 one that I can boot from normally and even Installed windows.

I tried knoppix, It could boot but couldnt load the USB module so it didnt find the CD and thus stopped

Could this be due to lack of support to the Intel 915 Chipset or that I need a special LiveCD to run from USBCD

Thanks in Advance

Instead of using a CD based distro, could you use a USB drive instead? I know there are several distros listed at Distrowatch that are designed to boot from a USB drive, as long as the computer supports such a thing.

Thanks for replying,

But I cant use a USB drive coz I dont have one. And I think CD Based distro is better as I'll be able to run it on my computer as well as others.

Thanks SlackerLX for pointing me to Puppy, I'll give it a go and see if it fits my needs
