Live Messenger in Ubuntu

How Can I install Windows Live Messenger on Ubuntu 10.04

Hi, welcome to LQ!

No idea what windows live messenger is, but there's a good
chance that pidgin can talk to it.

Cheers,
Tink

Yes, Tinkster is right. aMSN is another option. Please be aware that Windows software will not run natively under Linux. You either have to find a Linux equivalent (e.g. Pidgin, aMSN here) or (try to) run the Windows software you need with, e.g. Wine.

Empathy, amsn, pidgin can all work with the msn protocol.
