Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

hey I using a livecd of opensuse 11.1 and everything is working perfect except I wanna install flash player to see if the video will be ok alright so I download unzip and go to install but am asked for the installation path of firefox....I've looked and tired almost everything (/home/linux/Firefox,/home/linux/Desktop/Firefox,ect) but still nothing is this even possible with a live cd?
No I'm asking where the firefox installation path is in the live cd because like I said I download unzip and then run chmod +x flashplayer-installer and get the install screen hit enter and get the following message... Please enter the installation path of the Mozilla, Netscape,
or Opera browser (i.e., /usr/lib/mozilla):
and yes I tried using yast but it is a live cd and you can't install anything with it only looks at what is installed
If you can't install with Yast, then most likely you can't install. A lot of LiveCDs are for testing/demo purposes only. If your hardware works, then you need to install the OS to actually use it and save/download/install anything.
yes I tried that and no such file exists in that directory I can't find the file period...idk I know with ubuntu it's possible to install flash on the live cd but maybe not with suse
P.S see that's the thing I know everything else works except the video because I can't download flash I cant view videos so how do I know if it works or not?
