list of things to learn when switching to linux?

perhaps i missed it, but would somebody mind posting a sticky of a list of common things to learn when starting out with linux? so far i've found a few problems to fix but i know i can do so much more (just don't know where to start).

i'm just kind of at a standstill looking for more things to learn how to do so i can eventually replace my MS machines completely.

sorry if this post is already up somewhere, just hoping for some suggestions.

thanks in advance.

Possibly this also: http://linux.oneandoneis2.org/LNW.htm, but that's a very open ended qn.
There's an almost unlimited num of things you 'could' learn.
We really need more specific qns to help you better.
eg what do you use your MS systems for now?

i understand the question is very open, but basically i'm just trying to learn everything i can so i can at least figure out any questions i have on my own. i don't necessarily USE my windoze machines for anything big, i basically just have a pair of file servers, my gaming machine, and my linux box. so far i've been able to make samba work, and i know how to install stuff -- that's about the extent of my knowledge. really i just want to be able to eventually replace win2k3 server when i'm good enough to go no-GUI. i figure the more random stuff i try, the easier that will be. eventually a certification might be in the works but that's WAY down the road

so far all these links should keep me busy for a few days, i know it was a vague question but thanks for all your responses.

Well, in that case, make a list for yourself of what services you get from your W2K3 server and starting with the first one, try to replicate that on your Linux system.
Start a new thread if you get stuck and need assistance.
Good luck.
