Hello,
I recently installed Linux Red Hat 7 on side of Win98. It seems to work alright, but when I log in as the root user, I can't get linuxconf to work. I even tried to type "linuxconf" in as a command, but it still acts like I'm speaking greek. Anyone heard of this problem before?
Thanks

I can't remember or not but it might be a capital L in Linuxconf, have you tried that? What about a search for it, does it find it anywhere on your system?

Just installed RH7.1 (seawolf) on one of my boxes and, by default, it did not even install linuxconf. I did find that many of the other configuration util's were redone and much more useful. I may build linuxconf or install the RPM if I can find it, but so far I haven't needed it.

*TIP* if it's there, it should be in /sbin or /usr/sbin I believe. If it's there, you may have to type the full path to get it to run. I find I have to alter the PATH env. var. to get many things to run under root.

A buncha horseshit might be the problem if that is the case.
