Linux XP Installation Help


I just downloaded the linux-xp-desktop-2006-english-build-286.iso

file from the linux-xp website and i was given no installation instructions. How do i install this to my computer?

There is a PDF document on the website which has installation instructions in. You can find that here. Burning the ISO and then booting from the CD should get you started, though.

ok i got the installation to boot, but at the setup screen it says "boot:" if i press enter it restarts the pc???

None really. Did you verify the ISO before burning it? Maybe ask on their forums: http://www.linux-xp.com/forum/.

It boots from the CD and all you get is a screen that says "boot"??? I think you are leaving out some details.
Did you mean to say that you installed, and then--when you rebooted--you got that screen??

Why Linux XP and not something more mainstream??
