Linux - Windows Network (Can't find Linux PC)

This is more a Windows question, but I ask on a bunch of Windows forums, but nobody knows enough about Linux:

I have a PC with Fedora 11 and a bunch of other PC's with Windows XP, all connected with a common ADSL router.

My Linux PC can see and access any files on my Windows PC's (using Samba), but my XP PC can't access my Linux stuff.
If I ping my Linux PC from XP, it works, but how do I access these files. My Linux PC doesn't show under my "Workgroup"-Windows-Network

Any suggestions???
Thanx

Not a networking question, moved to Linux - Newbie.

Why do so many people think networking = windows file sharing?

Hi,

Do you have configured the samba server on linux side? Use system-config-samba to set the "Working Group" and at least one Samba user and one samba shared directory.
After that, be sure that the samba server "smb" is running, you can use "serviceconf" for that.
At least, I'm not a big the Windows "network explorer" user, but often it doesn't refresh its cache properly, so in the windows explorer bar you can type "\\MACHINE_NAME\SHARED_DIR\" to see if it's not just such a problem.
