linux version of sql*plus

I need to log into an sql server and run scripts. I was using sql*plus for windows and am looking for a similar environment for linux. If someone is familiar with a good application to log onto remote sql hosts with a sort-of-newbie gui, please suggest it. thanks.

p.s. Once I have it, I will need to configure the host server. I used to edit the orawin/admin file in sql*plus in windows but if I need to do something else in the new program, I would love some direction.

As far as I know there's the same thing (SQL*Plus)
available for Linux (however I never managed to
install Oracle for Linux since I don't run RH or SuSE
;}) ... I know that it's part of the RPM, though.

Cheers,
Tink
