Linux to Win98
Hi,
I m new to Linux & need your help. I have Linux 9 installed on one of my machines. Is it possible to re-format the hard-disk & install Win98 on it. Does it require any special steps to follow ? Please suggest steps to do the needful. Regards. Vijay |
That shouldn't be difficult...
You need a boot disk for dos, with the format.com file on it.... You should be able to format from there... You could also use your linux install disks to partition your hard drive and create a FAT partition on which you could install win98.... The question is: do you wish to throw your linux away or do you want a dual boot PC? |
No..... I dont want to throw away the Linux. In fact we have a hybrid network in which server & some client are Linux and some clients with MS os. It was just for my knowledge & experiment. The bottom line is : Linux is much more safe than MS but little difficult to manage. Its a matter of practice & knowledge.
Any way thanks a lot. Rgds. Vijay |
