Linux thinks Im holding the ctrl key when Im not
Hi,
I have tried with three differen keyboards, same error. Sometimes linux percives the ctrl, alt or shift key as pressed, even though Im not touching eithr one of them. This results in some rather annoying situations! I have tried playing with XF86Config-4: Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Generic Keyboard" Driver "keyboard" Option "CoreKeyboard" Option "XkbRules" "xfree86" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "dk" Option "AutoRepeat" "1500 130" Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys" EndSection and also with KDEs keyboard control center, but the problem continues ... any ideas ? THANKS ! |
troelssmit; did you check the HCL for compatiable keyboards first to find which kybd would work with debian. then attempt reconfigure kybd.
|
No, I did not, sorry for being a bit slow, but can you explain me the different steps in doing this ?
|
The HCL just says the the keyboard is compatible...

troelssmit; good then it should be a matter of configuring keyboard to your
needs & permissions if on more than on console or pc. if using gui at start of window there is a control center which provides administrative menu to configure what ever you need to work your WAY. that is where step by step begins. |
