Can anybody point me to a detailed glossary of Linux terms written in a newbie-friendly way?

I have gone to www.Google.com whenever I have had a term I needed to understand. Search for the specific term and you should find lots of info about it. You might even find a Linux dictionary there.

i personally use the man pages. have you tried the help pages built within most distro's themselves. i know gnome has help pages.
you can always just do a search like rdaves suggested on the net, like google and yahoo.
you can try www.linuxnewbie.org , they are pretty good at explaining things easily for newbies to comprehend.
