Linux support for FAT 32?
 

Does Linux support FAT32 paritions? I was going to use a portion of my Windows machine to install Linux and keep files that Iwant to share between the two OS's in a FAT32 partition since Im running WIN XP and its NTFS. I have an empty 100gb drive, so I was going to install Linux in the first 20-30 gb then partition the remaining space to a few other FAT32 partitions for Windows use, but one of those be a FAT32 so both OS's can access it...is that feasible?

Both can access a FAT32 drive. I'm not sure if any linux versions currently support INSTALLING on a FAT32 partition, i know they were working at it but never really heard much after that. As for using it to share files, yes, that should work fine. Both XP and Linux will be able to read/write to the partition.

Yes linux supports FAT32, you can access the entire hard disk form linux, it is possible, i am not sure that you can access linux partitions from windows,

Yes, Even you can install linux on FAT32 partiton, but it is not a good idea if i am concerned.

Is there any other way to access linux partition from windows please let me know, even i need to share my linux from windows

There is a program called ExplorerFS which allows access to Lin from Win. I don't know how good it is as I've not used it. The obvious caveat is that there is every chance that you'll wreck Linux.

Far safer to create a seperate fat32 partition which can be accessed by both.
