Smile Linux Source Code


I want to understand source code of Linux? but how can I understand this? Is any book available for this? until and unless I don't understand existing code,I can't write my own code for Linux? How can i understand Linux source code? How to compile that code in my current Linux Distribution?

The way you're asking these questions really suggests you shouldn't try to understand it. The Linux kernel contains over 13 million lines of code now. Which ones would you like to understand?
