linux software for ms optical desktop 1000

I am on Kubuntu 8.04. I just bought microsoft optical desktop 1000. It came with windows software but I want to use it on Kubuntu. I have a dual boot win2000 install as well as wine but am hoping there is kubuntu software to get it working. Help appreciated.
