Linux server automatically restarting.


Hi,

One of our server automatically restarting with couple of hours, i have pasted the logs below.

rhel 6.3 64bit
/var/log/messages

May 28 01:40:29 GSI-2 pulseaudio[2787]: pid.c: Stale PID file, overwriting.
May 28 03:23:14 GSI-2 rhsmd: In order for Subscription Manager to provide your system with updates, your system must be registered with RHN. Please enter you
r Red Hat login to ensure your system is up-to-date.
May 28 03:46:46 GSI-2 kernel: imklog 5.8.10, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
May 28 03:46:46 GSI-2 rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="5.8.10" x-pid="1779" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] start

Not sure what is going on here, there seems something wrong with your RH subscription. I would suggest contacting RedHat (that's why you pay them).

without registration of RHN redhat 6.3 will work?, because every restart of this server am getting this error only

i think for this only my server is restarting ( correct me if am wrong)

No.

You should not be running RedHat on your servers if they are not registered!

The LQ rules prevent us from helping you to hack/circumvent RedHats paid for subscription(s).

Either register your servers with RedHat or use one of these free and 99.9% compatible alternatives:
- CentOS
- Scientific Linux
