Linux process flag 5?

Hello,

I just had someone ask me today about process flag number 5 they heard had just been introduced or was about to be. I cannot find any info on it though. I was wondering if maybe someone had heard about it and could share the info.

Thanks

You can check on google "linux process flags number". Go into /proc and there are number of flags, number 5 is also out there.

That's not a particularly helpful response.

Have a look at "man proc" - it'll tell you where to find the process flag definitions. There are already more than 5 - and (as of kernel 3.3 which has just come out) none has a value of x'00000005'.
