Linux options for 486sx 173mb HD, does not boot from CD

What are my options for installing linux on an old 486SX I picked up. It has a 173mb HD, and will not boot from a CD, but it does have a CD drive in it. I'd like something with a gui, but if not I guess I can live with just a shell.

Get Damn Small Linux and see whether you like it. If so, install (its a live cd)

redhat should work to http://www.bootdisk.com and download the msdos-6.22 boot disk, then boot from that disk, and go to r:\dosutils and run the autoboot.bat, then try installing
