Redhat 7.2 is really old there have been a lot of releases since then..
would you consider upgrading to One of the fedora Releases that is still supported ?

Code:
Redhat
# 7.2 (Enigma), October 22, 2001 (Linux 2.4.7-10, Linux 2.4.9-21smp)
# 7.3 (Valhalla), May 6, 2002 (Linux 2.4.18-3)
# 8.0 (Psyche), September 30, 2002 (Linux 2.4.18-14)
# 9 (Shrike), 2003-03-31 (Linux 2.4.20-8) (this release is labeled "9" not "9.0")

Fedora Core
1 Yarrow 2003-11-05
2 Tettnang 2004-05-18
3 Heidelberg 2004-11-08
4 Stentz 2005-06-13
5 Bordeaux 2006-03-20
6 Zod 2006-10-24
7 Moonshine 2007-05-31

You're using Red Hat 7.2? I'd imagine the video card you have might not be supported. You may want to upgrade to a newer version, 7.2 is almost 6 or 7 years old and highly outdated.

Forget Red Hat and Fedora

Unless you want to spend the rest of time getting those distro's to work, check out something else. Endless problems. Check Distrowatch for some workable distros.

Good Luck, Michael
