Linux Noob writing simple application that needs to query SQLServer

Hello,

I'm a relative linux newbie and I am writing a fairly simple application that needs to query an MS SQLServer. What libraries/API's are needed to do this? Is there a good place to go to for examples? Good books on the subject? I am writing the app in C++.

thanks

You can check here (http://www.freetds.org/) and maybe here [http://www.unixodbc.org/] .

You'll find infos on how to code with these on the respective websites, I think.
