Linux Newbie sorta
Hey everyone
Its my first time posting in here so forgive me if im a little nervous. Ive been into linux since 1999 (Red Hat 5.2). I gave up on it for a while after learning some basics. Fast forward 7 years later im running Slackware 11.0 in a dual boot with windows Vista. I have a dell printer that is specific to windows (Dell AIO 942) otherwise id switch to linux full time. also im a little bit of a gamer. I just wanted to say briefly that Slackware is a great os. im getting better on the command line everyday that i use it. I know this is a newbie help forum so im glad I can use it if I need it. thanks everyone matthew smith |

Being a newbie and running slackware, I commend you. It's really encouraging that newcomers are willing to jump into the deep end, and even feel comfortable there. There's so much the GNU/Linux world has to offer, and it's great that people explore different distros, even the more challenging ones.

Welcome to LQ! I agree that Slackware is an excellent OS (for newbies and anyone else for that matter ;) )
