Linux mint windows weird
 

Hey guys, Its been about 6 months sense ive been running mint linux, and today i clicked ctrl+alt+f7, than i clicked f8 and it reset my window panel and icons to like xp. please help.

i go to the themes settings and try changing them and it doesnt change the icon set nor the windows

CTRL-ALT-F 1 through 7 gives you system command line terminals so you can fix problems in your system or other purposes, but for me I usually do CTRL-ALT-F1 to get a terminal so I can kill something (like Firefox) which went to sleep so badly that it's near shutdown my system's activity. And then CTRL-ALT-F8 returns you to your window manager.

The posting.org link did not work. Note that you can attach small files to your post; for instance if you take a screenshot and attach it, this would work so long as the file is smaller than 256k.

You marked the thread as solved. Did you solve it? Can you relate how you solved it, or if you realized/learned the conventions for CTRL-ALT-F keys?
