Linux Mint - Touch Screen

Hey all. by any chance, does any one know any software which i can install that supports touch screen on a acer aspire one linux-mint?
i recently been seeing some videos on metacafe.com but most of them seem to be for windows based.
i also mainly wish it's a software programm, cause i don't wanna open up the acer itself to install any hardward since i only got it for two months and afraid to lose the warranty

I hate to break this to you, but software alone cannot turn a normal display into a touch-screen capable surface.
