Linux Mint 7 and graphics

I'm new to Linux and I'm having trouble seeing video games that I run on emulators. On windows to fix the problem I'd usually just update DirectX so, I guess my question is...is there something similar like that that I need to download to Linux in order to see my games?

PS...the games are 16 bit classics, so lack of advanced graphics card like Radeon and the like isn't the problem.

Bring up a terminal and run this command: 'lspci | grep VGA' and show us the output. Also, please show us the output of the command 'glxinfo'

result of "lspci | grepVGA" is "00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)"

result of "glxinfo" is...alot of stuff. do you want me to make a screenshot of it? it'll probably take more than 1, its a shit ton.

OK, so you have an intel GPU and not an ATI one. As for glxinfo.. Can't you just copy and paste it into a message here?
