Mint comes with three different desktops. Which one you choose depends on your hardware. If you have a good modern machine, choose cinnamon or mate (mate is more like windows). If you have an old computer, xfce will be faster.

Each of these desktops comes with two or three further options, which I think are quite well explained on the site. If you want to use multimedia (and you don't live in America or Japan), then choose the option with codecs.

The choice between 64-bit and 32-bit depends on your CPU. Some old CPUs can only handle 32-bit. Modern ones can use both, but most people consider 32-bit obsolete.

Again? Google for Linux mint and you get lots of easy results. Let me google that

Clicking the link for Linux Mint you get to their homepage and you can see a link for downloads Right here.

And, if you need questions or help on LinuxMint it is all here on their documentation page.

Every one of your posts asks simple, very easy to search and find things. If you want to learn a new OS you really need to learn to read and find things on your own a little.

You will find it on Linux Mint's website...same place you'll find all the OTHER Linux distros and things you can't look up yourself:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...os-4175581833/

Again, as you've been told SEVERAL TIMES now...you need to start showing effort of your own.

Here is a full installation tutorial:

I have no idea what your hardware is but I would recommend downloading the MATE desktop edition in either the 32 bit or 64 bit version:

https://linuxmint.com/download.php

You need to burn the downloaded .iso image to a DVD or USB drive.

Here is a second tutorial:

Mint also comes with the KDE desktop, listed right there at the top of their home page with the other three. Why you ignore? :-)

Welcome to LQ. How about you post your system specs so that people can make a better recommendation for you. Next, be aware that once you download the ISO, you need not first install it, but instead you can run that under a virtual machine so that you can test it out for your preferences to determine if you like the distribution.
