Linux Mint 10 Wireless Adapter Setup

Hi guys,

I'm trying to help my friend set up their wireless adapter on Linux Mint 10, but it's not showing up under "additional drivers".

The results of lspci | grep "Network":
Code:
06:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
Results of lshw show a disabled network though
Code:
*-pci:3
  description: PCI bridge
  product: MCP79 PCI Express Bridge
  vendor: nVidia Corporation
  physical id: 17
  bus info: pci@0000:00:17.0
  version: b1
  width: 32 bits
  clock: 33MHz
  capabilities: pci normal_decode bus_master cap_list
  configuration: driver=pcieport
  resources: irq:41 memory:feb00000-febfffff
  *-network DISABLED
    description: Wireless interface

    logical name: wlan0

    resources: irq:19 memory:febf0000-febfffff
And, the results for iwconfig:
Code:
lo no wireless extensions

eth0 no wireless extensions

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
           Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=off
           Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
           Power Management:on

If there's anything else you guys need to know I'll get back to you on it!

Thanks

I actually feel really stupid... the internet didn't work because the wireless adapter button was off! I should remember next time to check the basics before fiddling with anything else!
