Unhappy Linux Mandrake 10 installation problems

Hi! I try to install Linux Mandrake 10 but there are some problems because i can't advance with installation! Once i start boot from cdrom installation drive the console set some errors:

...

* needs keybdev

* file-not-found-in-arquive keybdev.ko (maybe you can try another boot floppy such as hdcdrom-usb.img)

* warning, insmod failed (keybdev(null)) (2)

* AUTOMATIC: parameter cdrom for method means returning CDROM drive

* have to insmod ide-cd

*needs cdrom

*needs ide-cd

(and stops here... )

What can I do to install Mandrake??

It looks the problem is connected with keyboard. What kind of keyboard do you have?

Hi! Tnks for your attention to my post Mara! My keyboard is a "normal keyboard", not USB and not wirelless.
I have been reading a lot of post's and I figured out that if in boot menu I prime the key "F1" and write this command "linux noapic" the installation goes well, without any problem.
Now I have Mdk 10 installed in my system, but I still have one problem... after loading GNOME and after a few seconds inside GNOME my mouse breaks ! It is a USB Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 and I don't have an explination for that... So I try and put an adaptator USB->PS/2 and mouse works fine. LOL
I pay attention for loading USB controllers and everything is [OK].

...Regards...

If you wish to find out what's going on with the mouse, plug it in as USB, open a terminal program (like Konsole, Terminal etc), become root (su command, then root password when you're asked) and when the mouse stops working run
tail /var/log/messages
It'll show you lates entries from log file. If there was an error message, it will be shown.
