linux.local
I have the line
127.0.0.2 , linux.local, linux in my /etc/hosts file. I know nothing about it, I didn't put it there, SuSE 9.0 install did. However some people have occasionally got bounces when emailing me and told me that it is the linux.local part that is a no-no and that it should be replaced by something else. They didn't, however, tell me what to replace it with. Its a stand-alone machine with a DSL connection Any ideas? |
Normally only a line "127.0.0.1 localhost" should do it; other addresses should be taken care of by your ISP's DNS server.
