Hi,

Yes, you can use 'dd' to copy a hybrid image file to a flash drive. You can look at an excellent LQ post; Learn the DD command for additional help with the 'dd' command or use 'man dd' to understand.

From Learn the DD command
Code:
dd if=<source> of=<target> bs=<byte size> ("USUALLY" some power of 2, and usually not less than 512 bytes (ie, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, but can be any reasonable whole integer value.) skip= seek= conv=<conversion>
Look at 'man dd' to insure that you understand the options.

Be very careful when supplying the 'if=source' & 'of= target' arguments options since you can mess things up for your system if you have things transposed. Be sure to use the correct devices.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

Almost every live cd has a web page that tells how one might create a usb from it.

Darn if I didn't get in a hurry last month and mess up with dd. It is pretty easy to do if you are not paying attention. Lucky for me it was a flash drive that was just used for temporary use.
