Question Linux Linpus Lite v1.0.7.E

Hi

I own a Acer Aspire One with Linux Linpus Lite v1.0.7.E operating system. It needs the flash player to be updated and Firefox updated.

I have no idea how to do either of these though as this is my first Linux computer, I got guidance from someone before on how to install Firefox 3 on my laptop but unfortunately they described it in an awkward way for me and now I can't get the internet page to open by clicking the internet button on the home screen (I have to search for firefox in my documents and open one of the files in there to get online)

I am computer literate (not Linux though) and I understand most jargon but I'd prefer it if you could give me guidlines on what to do as if I'd never used a PC before just so I don't make a mistake and ruin my laptop like before

Thank you in advance!
Siobhan ^_^

From what I've heard, Linpus Lite isn't very easily upgradeable...

I'll assume that you were walked through the compilation process...? Did you have to use the command line at all? That's probably why your FF shortcut doesn't work anymore; it still points to the old FF, and you would need to change it to point to the new FF location, as the compilation/installation process probably put it in a different directory from where Linpus Lite puts its FF.

Just my , I'm really not sure...
