Linux kernel compilation


hi.. iam new to linux. I am trying to compile linux 2.6.29. it is giving the following error
net/irda/irda.o: final close failed: No space left on device
make[2]: *** [net/irda/irda.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [net/irda] Error 2
make: *** [net] Error 2

what shall i do to continue further without errors. Please help me

Code:
$df -h
see if you have run out of space on your hard disk
