hi all, i am working in linux kernel...can anyoone tell me wat this dfd in
struct file *do_filp_open(int dfd, const char *pathname,int open_flag, int mode)
means?
what value will be passed over there?...

Another homework question?

In your last thread, I asked about what books you are using.

The brute force method is to search the source files for "dfd"---in this case, you have a function declaration, n'est-ce pas? So look inside and seehow "dfd" is used.
