Cool Linux installtion problem

Hi Im trying to install ubantu server 5.10 on a Xserver G5 im doing the install from a cd. display blinks go blank then show error message on top( ...ok opening display /ht@0, f2000000/pci@1/ATY,Bugsparent@3/ATY,Bugsy_B@1_ )could it be video card

Did you get the PPC version of Ubuntu or the x86 version?
