linux installed and now a prb in windows
I have installed Linux RedHat Release 9 on a partition drive. I have a 40 GB hard-disk partitioned into 4 drives. I created a swap drive and a partition drive to install Linux.
I still use windows for Office and playing games. Now whenever I boot in windows, it gives me a volume not found error. How do I delete the swap drive? Do you think that will affect my linux distro? I m finding linux really really cool.:newbie: |
I don't think you're supposed to make the swap partition in Windows to set up for Linux...
Linux will partition the Windows-Linux partition itself, making a swap partition within the Windows-Linux partition, and thus you won't ever have to make anything in Windows except the initial partition that Linux will reside in. I hope that helps. |
How do I get rid of the volume error? Any ideas?
